Ahmed Musa is confident the Super Eagles will defeat The Mediterranean Knights in their AFCON qualifying match in Akwa Ibom.

The inform Al Nassr forward admits they would miss captain John Mikel Obi but insists they have enough experienced players to hurt Libya.

Musa was speaking during a Super Eagles’ press conference on Thursday ahead of the game on Saturday.

“The last games we played, we missed the captain, but we played very well.

“We now have a full complement of the team players who missed out the last time out.

“Ekong is back and other players who missed out on the last game are back so we have a good team to beat Libya.

“Since we won the AFCON, we have not qualified and that’s the motivation. I know it’s a herculean task for us. We will win the first game.

“These are the kind of games I love to play – tough games, so we are confident.”

Nigeria hosts Libya on Saturday at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo before the return leg in Tunisia four days later.
