Buhari in his message expressed the belief that the Oyo monarch’s 48 years on the throne of his father had been most remarkable.
He commended him for regular counsel to his government and prayed God grant him longer life and wisdom to sustain the legacies of his fathers
Oba Lamidi Adeyemi is the longest reigning king in the annals of the evolution of new Oyo Empire.
In the last 48 years, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi has performed creditably well in words and action. He has preserved old Oyo heritage in various means.
Oba Lamidi till date, is still maintaining traditional festivals, religious practices, costumes and dress. All these make his reign remarkable.
