Mourinho Charged By FA For Abusive Language After Newcastle Game

Jose Mourinho has been charged by the FA for allegedly using abusive language after United’s come-back win against Newcastle.

The Portuguese was captured on camera saying things as he walked his through to the dressing room after United’s victory.

Recall that there were reports before the game that the Portuguese would be fired irrespective of the result.

Mata, Martial and Sanchez gave United a 3-2 victory after the Red devils went into the break two goals down.

After the game, Mourinho accused the media of conducting a “man-hunt” against him, which was affecting his young players.

The FA in a statement wrote:

“Jose Mourinho has been charged following Manchester United’s game against Newcastle United on 6 October 2018.

“It is alleged that his language at the end of the fixture, as captured by the broadcast footage, was abusive and/or insulting and/or improper.

Mourinho is alleged to have said ‘fodas filhos de puta’ (‘f**k off sons of b*****s’) in front of a BT Sports Camera.

Although whatever he said was in Portuguese, the FA used linguistics experts and lip readers to confirm what Mourinho said.

The 55-year-old has until Friday to defend himself or he could be banned.

“He has until 6pm on October 19 to respond to the charge,” the FA statement concluded.

United are in action this weekend as Mourinho returns to his former club Chelsea. The Blues have had a great start to the season, winning all their home games in the league.
