Manchester United host Juventus on Tuesday in the Champions League with both teams looking to take points of each other.

There’s been much talk about Ronaldo returning to Manchester, where it all really began for him and he would no doubt be the centre of attraction.

The match will be Ronaldo’s second return to his old stumping ground and Paul Pogba’s first against his former club.

But aside those two, four other mega football stars have plied their trade for both Juventus and Manchester United.

EDWIN VAN DER SAR – NETHERLANDS

Edwin van der Sar became the first man to play for both teams when he signed for United in 2005. The legendary Dutch goalkeeper had spent two years earlier in his career with Juventus between 1999-2001.

The lanky shotstopper only won the UEFA Intertoto Cup with Juve in 2002. He enjoyed more success at United where he won 10 trophies including the Champions League in 2008.

CARLOS TEVEZ – ARGENTINA

Carlos Tevez was van der Sar’s team-mate in the Champions League winning side in 2008. The Argentine formed a deadly attacking trio with Ronaldo and Rooney in his time at United.

Tevez joined United rivals Manchester City after six years at the club before moving to Juventus in 2013.

PATRICE EVRA – SWEDEN

Evra enjoyed eigth years of his professional career as a manchester United player between 2006 and 2014. The Frenchman won 5 league titles, 3 league clubs, the UEFA champions in 2008 and Club World cup in the same year.

Evra joined Juventus when he left United and spent 3 years with the Italian giants. He played 82 times for them and won 5 trophies.

ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC – SWEDEN

Ibrahimovic was 23-year-old when he joined the old ladies from Ajax in 2004. The Swedish all-time top scorer spent 3 years in Turin before moving to Inter Milan. Zlatan then played for Barcelona, AC Milan and PSG before joining United on a bossman in 2016.

Ibrahimovic left the Red Devils after two years to join LA Galaxy where he currently plies his trade.

Pogba returned to Manchester United from Juventus in 2016 after spending four years in Italy. The United graduate had left Old Trafford at the start of Ferguson’s final season for lack of first team opportunities.

He joined Juventus and developed that United had to pay a then world record fee to resign him. Pogba has since failed to justify that price with his performances on the pitch.
