Former Ogun State governor, Aremo Segun Osoba has fired back at Governor Ibikunle Amosun, noting that he would not join issue with the governor as an elderly man.
Osoba broke the silence over false claims he connived with APC Chairman, Adams Oshimole.
To allegedly write a fake primary result that produced Dapo Abiodun as the state’s governorship candidate.
Since emergence of Dapo Abiodun as APC candidate in Ogun State, Amosun has been threatening to leave the party until President Muhammadu Buhari intervened a forth night ago.
He believed his preferred candidate, Abiodun Akinlade won the ticket but was short-changed by power brokers in the party.
Responding to the allegations, Osoba noted that he would rather maintain his silence than engage Amosun in the pages of newspapers.
Osoba in his words said: “At 80, I cannot be answering a 60 year old on the pages of newspaper.”
As it is stands, Amosun has lost out in the Ogun State governorship slot for his successor, Abiodun Akinlade.
