Ekiti State governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi has just approved 200m car and housing loans for all teachers in the state.
The teachers are expected to receive the loan and salary arrears owed by the last administration on or before November 15, 2018.
“The move is to boost the morale of public school teachers towards better service”, Fayemi stated.
The governor with an Executive order, therefore, places stiffer sanctions and penalties for school teachers extorting illegal fees from pupils.
Addressing the media after signing the order, Fayemi said the state would make provision for free and compulsory education in all public schools in the state.
