Former Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger has disclosed his plans to return to management at the beginning of 2019.

Although, the Frenchman didn’t reveal his potential destination and would likely not be making a return to England.

Wenger has been linked with the managerial position at Real Madrid after Julen Lopetegui was fired on Monday.

The 69-year-old has been enjoying his sabbatical since leaving the North London club at the end of last season.

“Certainly at the beginning of 2019,” Wenger told Sky Sports when asked about his return to football.

“At the moment I’m having a good rest and I watch football a lot. I said many times maybe the best way is not to be in England because I spent so much time at the same club it would seem odd to go somewhere else.

“But at the moment I cannot tell you [about my future] because I don’t know.

“I don’t know where I will be, I will be somewhere but I don’t know where.

“I don’t know, I haven’t decided yet,” he retorted when asked if he’d manage a club or country next.
