Jurgen Klopp says he’s bemused by the referee Andre Marriner’s decision to rule out Sadio Mane’s first half strike.
Liverpool should have taken the lead into the break but a referee error meant the first half finished goalless.
Mane tucked in Firmino’s rebound from an onside position but saw his celebrations cut short when the goal was ruled out
The Reds eventually opened the scoring on 61 minutes through Milner but Lacazette equalized to earn the Gunners a draw.
“There’s only one person who can answer the question (of the offside goal) and that’s the linesman.
“Ask him. If he thought the first situation was offside, I think it would be the wrong decision.”
The German was however quick to clear that the referee really had nothing to do with the result.
“But it’s not to change anything. We have more mistakes than the ref, but it would have been cool if this goal could count!”
Liverpool’s next game is in the Champions League on Tuesday when they travel to Serbia to face Red Star Belgrade.
