Mosquitos are no respecter of persons, they can bite you anywhere and on any part of the body. Even when the house has been sprayed with insecticide, mosquitoes can find a way into the house.
But aside the mosquito repellant and insecticide, they are foods that can help protect you from a mosquito bite and also relieve the itching that comes from a bug bite.
In case you are where you cannot get hold of insecticide, and mosquitos won’t let you have a good sleep, all you need do is to get onions, rub it on your skin. It’s a good way to keep mosquitoes and another insect away.
2. Olive oil
Avoid stagnant or still water around your house because it provides the perfect breeding ground for mosquitoes.
Floating a few tablespoons of vegetable oil on the surface of the water will help keep mosquitoes from using the water.
3. Orange and lemon peels,
The method is similar to that of onions. Lemon and orange peel can repel mosquitoes.
All you need to do is rub fresh orange or lemon peels over your exposed skin. It’s said that mosquitoes and gnats are totally repulsed by either scent.
4. Galic is medicinal
It cures so many things and it’s advisable to include garlic in your diet. If you are going on a trip to a place that is filled with bugs and insects
It is advised that you start eating garlic several days earlier, eat a clove or two every day. As you sweat out the garlic odour, it repels many insects and prevents mosquito bites.
Is another remedy, if you feel your skin is burning up from too much sun exposure or if itchy mosquito bites are driving you crazy, try using a little milk paste for soothing relief.
Mix milk with a pinch of salt and place it on the burn or bite, powdered milk contains enzymes and this can help relieve sunburn and neutralize the venom from insects.
6. Apple cider vinegar
If you are going to an area that you know is full of mosquitos, you must plan ahead. Drink one spoon of apple cider vinegar days before you leave, and continue the process when you get there.
To get instant relief from the itchy mosquito bites, soak the area in salt water, then apply a coating of vegetable oil, and watch the magic.
