Okra soup is a gooey meal, eaten by most Nigerian tribes. However, okra and vegetable are mostly eaten by the Igbos. Vegetable and okra soup is easy to cook and very delicious when paired with a staple like pounded yam, Eba, Semo etc.
Okra
Depending on how you want it, 3 cooking spoons of palm oil is fine
Beef, Shaki, Iced Fish, Dry Fish, Stock Fish, Crayfish
Pepper
Locust beans (iru)optional
Salt to taste
Onions (optional)
Pumpkin leaves
2 cubes of Maggi
If you want to add stockfish to your okra and vegetable you may want to start with it, properly wash and boil it for 30 minutes
While your stockfish is boiling, cut your okra fingers into tiny pieces, you can use the hand grater if you like. When you are done, wash the pumpkin leaves.

If you are going to add shaki (cow tripe) wash and boil it till it is well cooked and make sure you add enough water.
Add the stockfish and dry fish to the cooked shaki, and wait till they are cooked before adding beef, onions and Maggi cubes.
Let it cook for some time before adding the iced fish and cook till done.
You can bleach the palm oil in another pot it is optional if you don’t like it bleached, just heat it up. Then add the okra and start frying.
Add your boiled stock(meat) little by little and keep stirring till you notice the okra is getting slippery and gooey.
It should take about 5 minutes, add the vegetable and stir well for the okra to spread, you can now add the fish, crayfish, pepper (the quantity as you wish) and salt to taste.
Stir some more and leave it to cook for a while.
