One of Nigeria’s elder statesmen, Ben Nwabueze has confirmed the candidature of Atiku Abubakar as next president of Nigeria.
Nwabueze while addressing Atiku’s entourage in Enugu on Wednesday in his words said: “I will live long enough to witness you become the next president of this country”.
Nwabueze in his emotional tone charged Atiku to restructure the country and complete the unfinished Nigerian project when he becomes the president in 2019.
Atiku in his remarks described his meeting with the celebrated Professor as a historical one, noting that he would unite the country and give better life that has been yearning for.
. “The country has never been this divided in the history of Nigeria but I look forward to justice, equity, and fairness when I become the president”, Atiku enthused.
Nwabueze an advocate of restructuring is giving support to Atiku following is an intention to restructure the country after his victory.
Nwabueze believes restructuring Nigeria is the only way to have a good governance and leads to constitutional change.
