The memories of the first academic Chief Justice of Nigeria came alive on Sunday 11th November 2018. As it was the 27th remembrance of late Justice Taslim Olawale Elias.
This is part of an annual event to immortalise him.
As a scholar, he extensively modernised and revised the laws of Nigeria. He was Attorney-General, Chief Justice of Nigeria, Judge and president of the International Court of Justice.
Late (Dr.) Justice Taslim Elias was a scholar; Professor and Dean of Faculty of Law at the University of Lagos.
He died in August 1991.
The 7th Annual Edition of the U-15 Boys and Girls Talim memorial cup, brought the remembrance ceremony to a rousing end. It held at Mini Campus Stadium Ajele, Lagos.
This U-15 soccer match is a part of Lagos State Grassroots Soccer Association. Speaking on behalf of the association, the Secretary, Mr Aliu Olawale Ganiyu, thanked guests and sponsors who contributed to the success of the competition.
Furthermore, the chairman of the association, Rev. Paul Freeman and other members of the executive committee vowed to improve next year’s edition. In terms of prices and participation, they also vowed to support the family of the late chief justice.
