Barely a week after former President Goodluck Jonathan launched his book titled ‘My Transition Hour, more revelations have been hitting the polity.

The revelation is contained in Jonathan’s book presented a week back during his 61st birthday.

The book chronicled blow by blow account of his last hours as the former president.

He was with his aides, ministers in the presidential villa before toeing the path of God.

Jonathan in his book confirmed his former ministers, Okonjo Iweala, Chidoka, Adoke, and others advised him not to accept defeat.

But the former President followed his heart and congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari to victory.

Jonathan said he took the decision to avoid bloodshed of innocent Nigerians just because of his personal interest.

.”My political ambition is not worth people being ‘soaked in blood”.

“This is a huge sacrifice. I hope my readers believe me when I say it turned out to be one of the easiest decisions I ever took while in office,”  Jonathan added.

The former president after conceding defeat to President Buhari has since become an elder statesman in Nigeria and a hero of democracy in Africa.
