Minister For Environment, Usman Jibrin Leaves Buhari’s Cabinet



Usman Jibrin, Minister of State for Environment has resigned from President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.

Alhaji Jibrin on Wednesday announced his resignation during the Federal Executive Council meeting on Wednesday.

The former minister reportedly dumped Buhari’s cabinet to take over as the new Emir of Nasarawa in Nasarawa State

Usman Jibrin is the second minister to leave Buhari’s government after former Minister of Environment, Amina Mohammed resigned in 2017 to pick up the United Nation’s job.

The presidency has praised Nasarawa emirate in choosing Usman Jibrin, noting that the former minister is a distinguished servant that will add value to the community.

The president added that his people will benefit from his experience and his rulership

Alhaji Usman Jibrin emerged as the 13th Emir after a hitch-free election in Nasarawa State.
