Senate President, Olubukola Saraki is at the moment in the U.S to witness US President, Donald Trump’s launch of strategy for Africa.
The event took place yesterday, Thursday, December 13, 2018.
The aim of the event is to strategize demands for more effective utilization of existing U S resources on the continent.
Trump’s plan according to U.S Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of African Affairs, Tibor P.NagyJr. would focus on bringing more foreign direct investment into Africa.
The programme is also in line with the plan of the National Assembly at reforming the Nigerian economy through strategic legislation that will help promote the participation of private sectors.
The Senate strong delegation also included other senators such as Senator Ben Bruce and Senator Monsurat Sunmonu.
Hon Nnenna Ukeje, Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs is also part of the delegation
