Senator Dino Melaye’s Abuja residence will still be under the close watch of the Nigerian Police Force.
The Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday, January 3, 2019, denied his application.
Melaye is requesting for an order for the Police to vacate his Maitama residence in Abuja.
The embattled senator had approached the court through his lawyer, Nkem Okoro of the Mike Ozekhome chambers for the violation of his fundamental human right
The security operatives last week Friday invaded Melaye ‘s residence on allegation bothering on homicide.
His lawyer had asked the court to restrain the Police from arresting the controversial politician but the case was upturned in favour of the Police.
The judge, Justice N.E Maha in his ruling refused the application and adjourned the case till January 14, 2019.
As at the time of filing this report, the police are still within the premises of the Kogi born senator.
While his younger brother, Moses Melaye has been on major TV stations to debunk the allegation levelled against his brother.
