Ewedu is a type of soup prepared with the Ewedu leaf and enjoyed by the Yoruba tribe in the western part of Nigeria
Local broom or blender
Pick the leaves of the Ewedu and wash thoroughly with plenty of water to remove any sand on the leaves.
Place a pot on the fire with little water inside, add the Ewedu leaves to the water in the pot and let it boil for about 20 minutes
Add the locust bean and potash to make it soft. Next, touch it and see if it is soft.
When it is soft, use the local broom to mash it well, then add salt and the magi cube to taste.
If you would rather use the blender, put the leaves in the blender.
Blend for a few seconds and pour it in a pot to cook for 5 minutes.
Leave it to cook for about 5 minutes, then your Ewedu is ready.
Serve it with Amala or Eba and stew
