Hoodlums Disrupts Titi Abubakar’s Campaign in Ibadan
Titi Abubakar, one of the prominent wives of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Atiku Abubakar, escaped an attack from suspected political thugs at Sarkin Sasa house in Ojoo area of Ibadan, Oyo State on Friday, 18 Jan 2019.
The popular high society lady who has been in Ibadan for two days to seek support for her husband’s presidential bid reportedly came out unhurt from the attack but her convoy sustained injuries.
Despite the attack, Titi had a fruitful discussion with Sarkin Sasa and the Hausa community.
Investigations are said to be underway to confirm the perpetrators behind the attack.
It is implied that these hoodlums demanded money from Hajia Abubakar, but after giving them, a few of them went ahead to attack her entourage.
Speculations are however rife that the attack was not a serious one as it is being reported in the media but a decoy by Titi to gain public sympathy for her husband’s presidential dream as the election draws near.
While Hajia Titi was busy in Ibadan campaigning, Atiku was far away in the United States with one of his other wives, Jennifer to also solicit support from the international community.
