Family, Friends To Hold One Year Remembrance Service For Deji Tinubu

Billionaire businessman behind Oando Petroleum, Wale Tinubu, and family members have completed arrangements to hold a one-year remembrance service for Deji Tinubu on Friday, January 25, 2019, in Lagos.

The late Deji Tinubu was elder brother to the billionaire businessman and owner of Oando Oil and Gas, Wale Tinubu.

Plans are under way by the family members to also hold a special prayer for him in addition to the memorial service scheduled for Friday.

Deji Tinubu, the late Special Adviser to Governor Akinwunmi Ambode on Commerce and Industry, slumped and died last year January 25, while playing a novelty match in Epe, during the retreat of Lagos State Executive Council.

Tinubu’s sudden death was painful to his family, friends and especially those he spent his last hours with.

His burial, it will be recalled, was well attended by friends, family, Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, and other state functionaries.

While tributes from eminent Nigerians across the country poured in on the late Chairman of the Lagos State Sports Commission, who has been described for exceptional kindness during his lifetime.

He was buried at the Vaults and Gardens, Ikoyi, Lagos after a funeral service at the City of David parish of the Redeemed Christain Church of God, Victoria Island, Lagos.
