Want to make African Star Apple Juice? Learn how!
African star apple, also known as cherry or Agbalumo, contains a lot of nutrients and is used in treating digestive issues, high blood pressure, diarrhea and fever. It also prevents malaria during pregnancy.
Another way to enjoy the star apple is to take it as juice.
* African star apple (Quantity depends on how much juice you want to make).
* Honey or sugar.
* A slice of watermelon or pineapple.
How to prepare:
1. Peel the skin of the African star apples
Before you do anything else, wash all the African star apples you need with clean water and then use your hands to peel them. Be careful not to peel off the insides with the back.
2. Remove the seeds
Once the African star apples are rinsed and peeled, ensure that you remove all the seeds so that blending will be much easier.
3. Blend the star apples
When blending your star apples, remember to blend along with a slice of any other fruit of your choice. This adds flavour to your juice.
4. Add honey or sugar
Don’t forget to add honey or sugar after blending to sweeten your juice. The amount of honey or sugar you use depends on how well you want your juice to be sweetened and how much juice you have blended.
5. Serve your Agbalumo juice
When you’re done with the above, serve your Agbalumo juice in a glass. Add some cubes of ice and there, you’ve got a glass of refreshing goodness!
