CCT Adjourns Onnoghen’s Trial Till February 13
The Chairman of Code of Conduct Tribunal, Danladi Umar, has postponed the trial of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen, till Wednesday, February 13th.
Reasons for the adjournment still remain unclear.
Onnoghen, on his arrival at the CCT premises, was directed by the CCT Chairman, Danladi, to appear in person before the start of the trial.
Recall the date was fixed on Thursday, after losing the case stay of proceedings filed by the embattled former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen, in the Appeal Court.
Onnoghen is presently facing trial over false asset declaration set up against him by the Code of Conduct Bureau.
