Ahead of the Pan African Film and Arts Festival (PAFF) screening, the Los Angeles City Council has given special recognition to Omotola Jalade Ekeinde and Stephanie Linus as Blacks in Cinema.
The event was held as a first of its kind to honour actors and filmmakers, who paved way for people from all walks of life, to be represented in film.
Stephanie Linus was recognized at the first ever Blacks in Cinema presentations and proclamations for her 2016 narrative feature film "Dry". According to the actress, who was beyond elated, she said they'll be screening the movie “Dry” for the second time.
Actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde was also recognized for her long stay in Nollywood and her immense contribution to the industry.
