Wole Soyinka Backs Moghalu For President
Noble laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka, has indicated interest in backing the presidential candidate for Young Progressive Party (YPP), Kingsley Moghalu, for president.
The eminent professor said he chose Moghalu among other presidential candidates, following his track record, career and wealth of experience.
“Like millions of Nigerians, we watched the debates and I discovered Moghalu has the leadership qualities to move this country forward.
“Let me reiterate that there is over-abundant but stifled leadership material, and there can be no excuse now that potential of high quality is being manifested.
“My final determination however is the flag bearer of the Young Progressive Party candidate, Kingsley Moghalu,” Soyinka stated
Soyinka added that he rejected the major contenders; APC and PDP which have the same ideologies with no plans to get the country working but only for their selfish interest.
From the look of things, it appears the former Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Moghalu, may also pose a threat to the presidential election which holds next week Saturday across the country.
Just a few weeks ago after the presidential debate, the leadership of his party, YPP merged with Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN) to form a new coalition known as The Force.
The idea, according to the two party leaderships, is to help salvage Nigeria from those who have held the country hostage for far too long.
