Buhari Arrives Lagos For Presidential Campaign
President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived Lagos for his presidential campaign.
Buhari and his strong team from the presidency landed at the Presidential Wing of Murtala Airport around 10.13am on Saturday.
The president who arrived amid tight security at the airport was given a befitting welcome by the Lagos chapter of All Progressive Congress supporters and chieftains.
Top APC chieftains on ground to receive the president included Governors Akinwunmi Ambode,Abiola Ajimobi Rotimi Akeredolu and Abdullahi Ganduje.
The Minister of Labour and Productivity, Dr. Chris Ngige, Lagos APC governorship candidate, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Sen. Oluremi Tinubu were also part of the dignitaries at the airport.
The president who departed the airport around 10.30am with an Helicopter, is expected to visit the palace of the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, and the State House, Marina, Lagos.
Buhari would thereafter leave for Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere for the campaign. The traffic situation in select parts of Lagos is expected to be a nightmare, because of blockades to ensure the passage of the president and his envoy.
