Lagos, Kano Top The List of Highest Collectors of PVC
The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, on Thursday, released the full list of Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) collected for the 2019 general elections.
Lagos State tops the list of highest collectors of PVC, followed by Kano, with Kaduna taking the third position.
In Lagos, according to the list, 5,531,389 persons collected PVCs, while Kano has 4,696,747 people who are in possession of their PVCs.
The number of registered voters with PVC in Kaduna State is 3,648,831, followed by Katsina State with 3,187,988. Rivers State is number five on the list, with 2,833,101 million PVCs collected.
INEC’s statistics also show that Katsina came first as highest percentage of PVCs collected with 98.69 percent of registered voters in the state.
Taraba State, from the middle belt, follows Katsina closely with 97.30 percent of registered voters with PVCs.
In Gombe State, 95.76 percent of voters with PVCs are set to vote.
Bauchi and Kebbi State are behind Gombe State with 95.13 and 94.84 percent of registered voters ready with their PVCs to vote
