Femi Gbajabiamilla, the Majority Leader of the Federal House of Representatives, arrived at the Ward G2 Polling Unit in Surulere at 12pm yesterday to vote.

His mother, Alhaja Latifat Gbajabiamilla, and siblings were part of the entourage that accompanied the prominent federal lawmaker to his polling booth.

Gbajabiamilla, on arrival, took his time to join the queue before casting his vote around 12.32 pm.

Hon. Gbajabiamilla gave kudos to the INEC officials for their conduct and expressed satisfaction in the turn-out of voters at his unit.

“The turnout here in my unit has been very impressive, peaceful, credible and fair

“We have heard of complaints here and there in other polling units with the card readers, but I believe INEC has more than enough card readers.

“So far, the process has been good. It’s still a learning process for us and we are not there yet.

“In spite of the initial delay from INEC, people still waited to cast their votes and it has been impressive, so far,’’ Gbajabiamilla said.
