Remi Tinubu, Yayi, Osinowo Clear Three Lagos Senatorial Seats

Candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in three Lagos senatorial districts, have emerged winners in last Saturday’s National Assembly election.

The senators are Senator Oluremi Tinubu, wife of the national leader of the ruling party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed, Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi), and Bayo Osinowo aka Pepper.

The former Lagos First Lady, representing Lagos Central Senatorial District scored 131, 735 votes to defeat Onitiri David of the Peoples Democratic Party.

In Lagos West Senatorial District, Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, better known as Yayi, returned to the Red Chamber as Senator winning PDP candidate.

Adeola won convincingly in six out of the 10 local governments. The LGs are Agege, Ifako, Mushin Badagry, Mushin, Oshodi/Isolo and Ikeja.

A four-term member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Bayo Osinowo, also emerged winner of Lagos East senatorial district.

The APC candidate scored 18, 327 votes to beat his strong rival, Abiodun Oyefusi, from PDP who polled 13,318 votes.
