Kaduna Senator, Shehu Sani, Loses Senate Seat
Prominent Kaduna politician, Senator Shehu Sani, has failed to return to the National Assembly for a second term.
The incumbent Sani of People’s Redemption Party lost to All Progressives Congress candidate, Uba Sani, who polled 355,242 votes to defeat his closest rival, Lawal Adamu, of the People’s Democratic Party, who scored 195,497 votes.
The former Political Adviser to Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasiru El-Rufai, will now represent Kaduna Central Senatorial District at the Red Chamber
Recall that Shehu Sani, who has had clashes for a long time with Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasiru El-Rufai, defected to the PRP after he lost in the APC primaries.
Many, however, believe the failure of Shehu Sani to return to the senate for a second term is a result of the issues he had with his state governor all through his first term in office.
