The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared President Muhammadu Buhari as the winner of 2019 Presidential Election.
Buhari scored 15,191,847 votes to defeat his closest opposition, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party in the presidential poll held on February 23, 2019.
The former Vice President Atiku Abubakar scored 11,262,978 and lost with a margin 3,928,869 votes.
While Atiku won in 17 states including Federal Capital Territory, Buhari won in 19 states to re claim his second term.
The states the President won in include: Bauchi, Borno, Ekiti, Gombe,Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Lagos, Ogun, Osun,Sokoto, Yobe and Zamfara States.
The opposition, Atiku Abubakar won in Ondo, Delta, Benue, Cross River, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo, Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Plateau, Taraba, Abia, Edo, Oyo Rivers, Anambra and FCT
