Boss Mustapha, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, on Wednesday night responded to the threat made by Atiku Abubakar, the People’s Democratic Party presidential candidate, that he would challenge the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari in court.

Mustapha, while addressing well-wishers at a dinner organised to celebrate the president’s victory at the Presidential Villa, affirmed that Buhari is not jittery about facing any court as far as his victory is concerned.

“We are not jittery at all because the process was open and transparent.

“It was a credible election and we will continue to savour in the victory but in the process too, we will extend the hand of friendship for the purpose of nation-building and reconciliation.

“Our Electoral Act and the constitution have both provided a window for whoever is dissatisfied with the process of the election to seek redress.

“That is the path and we will encourage them to go along that path,” the SGF said.

As at Thursday morning , Atiku still insisted that he would not congratulate President Muhammadu Buhari, citing election irregularities.

He added that he would seek redress in court to correct anomalies in the Nigerian electoral system.
