Abdulsalam, Matthew Kukah meet Atiku and Obi over court threat
Abdulsalam Abubakar, a former military Head of State, Matthew Kukah, the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, and a few other members of the National Peace Committee, on Thursday, met the aggrieved People’s Democratic Party presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
The meeting, it was gathered, was quickly put together following Atiku’s decision to head to court to challenge the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The outcome of the emergency meeting was yet to be confirmed as at the time of filing this report.
While Atiku Abubakar is yet to address the media on his decision about whether or not to back down from going to court after a plea from the National Peace Committee in the interest of the country.
Peter Obi, the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, PDP Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, Speaker Dogara and other PDP leaders were also part of the meeting.
