Nollywood actor, Desmond Elliot, has been re-elected into the state assembly
Nollywood actor, Desmond Elliot, has returned to the Lagos State House of Assembly for his second term.
Elliot, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, representing Surulere 1 State Consistituency, was on Sunday declared winner of the election.
The Returning Officer, Dr. Bolajoko Dixon Ogbechi, while making the declaration, said Elliot became winner with 15,357 votes while PDP candidate, Benjamin Olasunkanmi, was second runner up with 3,628 votes.
“That Desmond Olusola of APC, having satisfied the requirements of the law and scored the highest number of votes, is hereby declared winner and is returned elected,” Bolajoko declared.
Others in the race were Shita-Bey Oluwarotimi of Alliance For Democracy, who came third with 116 votes, Dawodu Oluwaseyi of Accord Party picked fourth position with 65 votes.
While Makanjuola Olaseni from Youth Party came next with 59 votes.
The Returning Officer, in her address, noted that the results of six units at Igbaja Stadium with 06 were cancelled due to over voting.
