PDP Governorship candidate Jimi Agbaje has revealed why he lost to his main challenger, APC’s Babajide Sanwo-Olu
Jimi Agbaje, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Lagos governorship candidate after his defeat on Saturday said he lost the election over suppression of votes in his stronghold.
Agbaje during his chat with the press, lamented a low turnout which was less than 20 percent of the total number of voters that collected the Permanent Voters Card (PVC).
He added that threats, oppression among other issues which characterized the presidential election and national assembly election was a reason for the low turn-out on Saturday.
The Pharmacist turned politician hinted further that many supporters were intimidated with eviction threats if PDP won in their local areas.
He said as a result of the threat people sat at home to avoid being killed and wounded, for that reason that gave APC a landslide victory.
Asked if he would challenge APC’ s victory in court, he responded saying he would speak at the appropriate time.
