Nollywood actress, Oge Okoye, has been in the news for anything but acting recently. After a video of the actress in a South African church surfaced on the Internet, she has been criticized and ridiculed. She has now chosen to speak about the visit. Read to know all about it here!
Video excerpts from actress Oge Okoye's visit to Pastor Alph Lukau started trending recently on Instagram. Daddy Freeze, pioneer of Free the Sheeple Movement, posted it on his timeline after stumbling on it.
He even went as far as saying the actress must have collaborated with Alph Lukau to stage the prayer in order to revive her acting career. He then put out money to challenge anyone who will successfully recreate the acting done by the actress in the video.
The truth, though, is that the video is not recent. It was uploaded in October, 2018. Oge Okoye was facing some challenges in her life, and according to what she said, it was her mother who told her about the church so she could intervene for her bedridden aunt who was suffering from cancer.
Read her explanation below:
Recall that the actress, in 2018, did a church tour visiting different men of God for prayers and solutions to her problems. She had earlier visited Synagogue Church in Lagos seeking prayers for her career and her baby daddy. It was rumoured that the man she allegedly “snatched” from her friend, Nkiru Silvanus, and got pregnant for didn't want to tie the knot. Oge then became worried and started going from one church to another seeking answers.
In the lengthy video of the actress and Alph Lukau, the pastor prayed for her and her children. He also warned her to be wary of her close friends. Her closest friends are actresses, Ebube Nwagbo and Onyii Alex, and it is possible that he is referring to them or some other friends.
He then prayed for her aunty who was sick and her mother who was having some visa issues and couldn't travel. Alph Lukau told her to see him in private, so whatever prayers went down between them in private cannot be verified. But the video circulating the Internet isn't new and it is doubtful that the actress felt the man of God was milking her status for his own church publicity.
