Prince Tunji Ogunwusi, one of the brothers to Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, was on Monday dragged to the Lagos High Court sitting in Igbosere, Lagos, for his role in the botched housing scheme by the National Association of Women Journalists and the Nigerian Union of Journalists.

Checks confirmed that over 800 members of the association subscribed to the house scheme which Prince Ogunwusi’s company, Prime Waterview Holdings, failed to execute.

It was gathered that it has been over five years now the subscribers invested their money to the scheme but are yet to be delivered any value for their money, the reason many of the members summoned the court case. These members are also seeking a refund of their money.

Apart from Ogunwusi, the court has also summoned the two presidents of the association, Mrs Ifeyinwa Omowole and Mrs Tosin Odusola, as well as the immediate past Chairman of NUJ, Deji Elumoye, to explain their involvement in the botched housing scheme.

Reports have it that Omowole, with the backing of Odusola and Elumoye, established the mass housing scheme for the female wing of the association before adding the male and interested non-members to the scheme.

The court has fixed Wednesday, April 10, 2019, for all the respondents to appear in court.
