Otedola Promises To Foot Christain Chukwu’s Medical Bills     

Just days after the NFF pledged to pay Christian Chukwu’s medical bills, billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola, has said he would foot the medical bills of the former Nigerian defender.

Billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola, on Monday, indicated interest in footing the medical bills of Christian Chukwu, the ailing former Nigerian international.

The former Green Eagles gaffe, who is down with prostate cancer, is in dire need of $50.000 dollars for the operation.

Respite came for Chukwu days back when Norbet Okonkwo, the Media Officer, Enugu Rangers, announced that the Enugu State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, has donated N1.5million for the surgery before Otedola offered to assist the ex-Nigerian star on Monday.

Otedola, while pledging his support on Monday, said he would take care of the entire cost of operation as a token of support to a great Nigerian who served his country meritoriously to the best of his ability.

The billionaire is giving financial assistance to another Nigerian weeks after paying the medical bills of the veteran actor, Victor Olaotan, who was on the verge of double amputation following a fatal car accident in 2016.

Chukwu, during his active days, in football was a superb central defender.

He was also the captain of the Enugu Rangers FC that won the Africa Winners’ Cup in 1977.

As Green Eagles captain, he lifted the African Cup of Nations in 1980.
