US Confirms Existing Contract Between US Legal Firm And Atiku, PDP

“It’s total fabrication. We have contract with Atiku,” says US Legal Firm

Just a few days after Atiku Abubakar and his party, People’s Democratic Party, released a statement denying ever contracting United States lawyers to lobby US government to recognize him as President-elect of the February 23 presidential election, the Department of Justice of the United States has confirmed an existing relationship between them.

Paul Ibe, a media aide to the former Vice President and PDP, had earlier debunked having a contract with any firm in the US until Friday, when the US based firm, Fein & Delvalle Pllc, refuted Atiku’s claim as a “total fabrication” of lies.

The contractual agreement, according to the US based firm, is posted on the portal of the company which established the fact that Atiku actually sealed a deal with them to acknowledge him to the international community as the winner of the presidential election based on the claim of the opposition party to challenge the declared results.

The contract was activated on April 2, 2019, in the US, the US legal firm was quoted as saying.

Findings also show that this is not the first time Atiku would engage a US law firm in such contract.

Reports have confirmed that, between 2004 and 2005, Atiku had a similar contract with JC Watts Companies, during his tenure as Nigeria’s Vice President.

Recall that after President Muhammadu was announced the winner of the presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission, Atiku swung into action, using all arsenals at his disposal to retrieve his mandate.
