Justice Ofili-Ajumogobia faces 18 count charges today in court.
Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia will today, Thursday, be arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on 18 charges at the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos.
The dismissed Justice of Federal High Court is expected to be arraigned before Justice Rilwan Aikwan alongside Godwin Obla, SAN.
Ajumogobia was arrested on Tuesday by EFCC at the premises of the Lagos High Court, shortly after Justice Hakeem Oshodi struck out the corruption case in favour of the former justice.
She tried all possible means to evade the arrest of the anti-graft commission but she was cornered and was eventually whisked away, leaving her husband in the court premises.
Ajumogobia is standing trial before the court on charges bordering on unlawful enrichment, taking property by a public officer, corruption, forgery and giving false information to an official of the EFCC, while Mr. Obla was charged with bribing her with N5m.
They had both pleaded not guilty to the charges.
