5 Things You Should Keep Secret From Your Partner

Want your relationship to last long? Avoid sharing these things with your partner.

There are things we shouldn't discuss with our partners, not because it is wrong, but because it is best to keep them secret for some good reasons. They include:

1.  Comparing your partner's success to someone else’s

There is nothing more demoralizing than comparing your partner's success to someone else’s. Your partner will think you don't appreciate what they have become.

Even if you wish your partner was more successful, just keep it to yourself and be hopeful.

2. Comparing your partner’s cooking to someone else's

This is for the men. If you have eaten at a friend’s house and you realise the food is more delicious compared to your partner’s, it is best to keep this to yourself. Telling your partner how delicious another woman's food tastes could destroy her self-esteem. So just keep it to yourself.

3. Telling your partner you don't like a member of their family

There must be one person you don't get along with in your partner’s family. Everybody can’t like you and you can't like everybody.

But it is best to keep it to yourself. If you tell your partner about this, each time the person is around, your partner will never feel comfortable knowing you don't like him or her.

4. Complimenting your partner’s friends

Paying your partner compliments could make them jealous or uncomfortable. Your partner could try to keep the person far from you because they will begin to see that one as a rival.

5. Sharing your past sexual history

There are times you think of your past and realise there are things you have done that you're not proud of, because of this you might decide to tell your partner about it.

It is best to let it remain in your past because your partner might use it against you one day.
