Traders Protest the Installation of ‘Iyaloja’ & Babaloja in Computer Village (Photos)

Computer and Allied Dealers Association of Nigeria led a protest over the installation of an Iyaloja in Computer Village,

King Solomon Ekhaiyeme

Tuesday, April 30, 2019 witnessed a massive protest of traders and marketers at computer village, over the unsolicited installation of an Iyaloja and Babaloja (Market heads).

The protesters told the press that computer village as an international market and the tech hub of Lagos did not need the imposition of an Iyaloja and Babaloja.

They went on to say that Computer village was no ordinary market where ‘pepper’ and food stuffs were sold. Thus they questioned what technological innovation the Iyaloja or Babaloja would bring to computer village.

A software developer, Mr Joseph Efosa, warned that the installation of these unnecessary market heads would disturb the 25 years of peaceful existence at computer village.
