Slain lawmaker, Hon. Olatoye Temitope, aka Sugar, was recently buried amidst tears in Ibadan.
The remains of the late lawmaker, Hon. Olatoye Temitope, otherwise known as Sugar, has been finally laid to rest.
He was buried on Friday amidst tears and wailing at his hotel, Everlasting Garden, Akobo, Iwo Road, Ojoo area of Ibadan, Oyo State.
The late lawmaker, who represented Lagelu/Akinyele in the House of Representatives at the National Assembly, was shot dead on March 29 at the Lalupon area of Ibadan by unknown gunmen.
Speaking at the burial, Yakubu Dogara, the Federal House Speaker, who was represented by Hon. Bosun Oladele, said that the deceased would be remembered for his philanthropic gestures and love for the downtrodden.
The Speaker, while describing the late lawmaker, said he was brilliant and outstanding in representing his people apart from touching many lives in various ways beyond his constituency.
He assured the family that the leadership of National Assembly would ensure that justice prevails and killers are brought to book to face the law.
He added that the children and family of the deceased would be taken care of in accordance with the practice of the house for their members who have lost their lives.
In attendance were members of the Oyo State House of Assembly, led by Speaker Olagunju Ojo, clerics, artistes, religious leaders, community leaders, hundreds of friends, political associates, friends and family members of the deceased.
