The former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, has appeared in court after heart attack rumours.
Former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, on Wednesday, defied heart attack rumours to appear in court for the inaugural sitting of the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal in Abuja.
A national tabloid had reported on Tuesday evening that the PDP vice president candidate to Atiku Abubakar in the last presidential election had a severe heart attack and was rushed to Odumegwu-Ojukwu Teaching Hospital at Awka, the state capital.
The report also claimed he was under close monitoring with plans to fly abroad if his condition worsened.
But the media to the politician, Valentine Obienyem has since dispelled the rumours, saying that it was only malaria, before Obi appeared in court on Wednesday without any sign of indisposition.
The banker turned politician was full of life at the event and was spotted exchanging pleasantries with other PDP stalwarts at the inaugural sitting.
