The heavy downpour in Lagos a few days ago resulted in traffic gridlock, which left many motorists and pedestrians stranded.
There was major traffic in some parts of the state, including, Aguda, Surulere, and Ojodu Berger, where people remained stuck in the rain, which lasted at least three hours.
According to reports, an accident occurred on International Airport road where a car fell headlong into a pit dug by Hitech construction company.
The driver of the car was said to have sustained some injuries and was rushed to the Nigerian Air force medical center. Eyewitnesses maintained that the accident could have been prevented if the company had placed a caution tape around the pit to warn drivers.
