Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, while expressing his gratitude to the president for his support, stated that every politician learns every day and he is wiser now than when he just started his journey into politics.
Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, on Monday, paid a visit to President Muhammadu Buhari to thank him for his support in the last four years of his government.
Recall that Ambode lost his second term bid after he fell out with his godfather and benefactor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which paved the way for the emergence of Babajide Sanwo-Olu becoming the new bride of the leader of the ruling party.
Sanwo-Olu won the March 9 governorship election, leaving Ambode to become the first Lagos State governor to serve one term since 1999.
Ambode, while addressing the president, said he has learnt a lesson in office.
“You see, every politician learns every day.
“The fact remains that I came in as a technocrat so I call myself a techno-politician, but I think I am wiser now.
“I am more of a politician than a technocrat,” the Lagos State Governor stated.
