The Lagos State Deputy Governor-elect, Obafemi Hamzat, held funeral prayers for his late father, Oba Mufutau Olatunji Hamzat, on Monday, May 13th.
It was attended by the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, Lagos State Governor-elect, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, among many others.
Before his death on Sunday, the deceased was the Olu of Alowora Sogade, Ogun State, and worked as a commissioner and lawmaker.
A strong politician in Lagos State, he contested and was elected into the Lagos State House of Assembly under the platform of Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN) in 1979. He died at the age of 86 and was buried in the Muslim way.
