The Senate has confirmed that Emefiele will spend another five years as CBN Governor.

He was, during the screening, asked several questions on Nigeria’s economic woes and he perfectly gave account of himself.
The screening exercise is coming after President Muhammadu Buhari gave a mandate to the senate to confirm the former Group Managing Director of Zenith Bank as Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria for a second term.
The Delta-born banker, who was appointed on June 2, 2014 by the president, was due to end his first tenure next month before his appointment was renewed.
