We've gradually evolved into a society where people are more open to body enhancements and beauty surgical procedures. Nigerian celebrities have made it the norm to constantly enhance or fix any part of their bodies they feel uncomfortable with and the common woman is left thinking it is okay to do surgery.
Veteran actor, Richard Mofe Damijo, one of the pioneers of Nollywood has taken this as his cue to address the situation. According to the one-time politician, these surgeries are for those with self-esteem issues who have not fully discovered or loved themselves.
This means celebrities like Toke Makinwa, Tonto Dikeh who were open about their body struggles and others like Annie Idibia, Nancy Isime who weren’t so open about theirs are constantly battling with self-love and are therefore unhappy.
