Eid-el-Fitri not going according to plan for road users
Eid-el-Fitri is a day of celebration for the Muslim faithfuls to commemorate the end of the Ramadan fast and it is marked by festivities. However, the people of Sagamu were in for not one but two tragedies.
The first accident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, 4:52 am, along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway at the AP petrol, Sagamu.
According to Mr. Clement Oladele, the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps [FRSC]:
Meanwhile, the second crash occurred later in the afternoon, 3:54 pm, on the same expressway but this time at 'Ogumankin', involving a Toyota Hiace bus.
Mr. Clement Oladele further explained:
Mr. Clement ended his speech by forewarning road users to expect traffic to build upon the Lagos-Ibadan expressway and other connecting roads following the incident and also during the Eid-el-Fitri celebrations.
