The hearing of Atiku Abubakar’s petition at the tribunal will resume on Monday.
The Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal is expected to resume sitting on Monday, June 10, 2019.
The petition was filed by Atiku Abubakar, the People’s Democratic Party Presidential candidate, challenging President Muhammadu Buhari’s victory at the February 23 presidential election.
Further checks confirm that Justice Zainab Bulkachowa, the President of the Appeal Court, has re-appointed another judge to replace her on the five man panel to hear the case following an allegation of bias levelled against her by Atiku and his party.
The tribunal was said to have issued and served the notice for Monday’s hearing to all parties listed in the petition on Friday.
The leader of the legal team of the PDP and Atiku, Dr Livy Uzoukwu (SAN), have also confirmed Monday as the hearing day.
