Woman Who Claimed Her Husband Was A Ritualist Is Mentally Unstable
The trending story of a woman who recently claimed her husband was a ritualist takes a huge, new twist.
The trending story of a woman who claimed her husband wanted to use her for rituals after she was found tied up at the back of an SUV has taken a new twist.
In the video that emerged online, the woman was rescued by passersby after they heard her screaming for help from the moving car. She was seen in the trunk of the car with her arms tied behind her back while her child was crying in the passenger's seat.
The woman claimed to the public that her husband had used two of their kids for rituals and he was trying to do the same to her and their last child.
"My husband and his friend were on their way to use us for money rituals before we were rescued in Surulere, Lagos," she claimed.
Her husband and his friend were beaten up by passersby after they heard the woman's story.
Now fresh reports from a blog reader suggest that the woman suffers from a mental illness and she along with her husband and his friend were on their way to the Psychiatric hospital in Yaba that fateful day.
Our reporter was also at the Itire Police Station, Yaba, where the husband was interrogated. He was, however, released almost immediately when the police were convinced he had committed no crime.
According to reports, the woman is currently receiving treatment for her mental ailment at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital [LUTH]. Her husband is also reported to be in the same hospital receiving treatment for an eyelid laceration he suffered after being battered by passersby who thought he was a ritualist.
If the husband was burnt or beaten to death and this revelation came out, what would have become of the crowd that performed the infamous 'jungle justice'?
